Product details

  • In use, this adapter bridges a retro console and a modern controller. Plugged into the controller port of a PlayStation 1 or 2, it picks up your current wireless controller over Bluetooth and translates its inputs for the console: you replay your classics comfortably, with no cable stretched across the living room. Built on the open-source BlueRetro project (ESP32 chip), it delivers a latency claimed to be near zero, imperceptible in play. It works with a wide range of controllers: PS3, PS4, PS5, Xbox One S, Xbox Series X|S, Switch Pro and Joy-Con, Wii, 8BitDo, GameSir T4 Pro, Stadia, and more. Its firmware updates over the USB port to keep pace with new controllers, and the buttons are configurable (keymap). Good to know: one adapter handles only a single controller at a time (two players = two adapters), only genuine PS3/PS4 controllers are supported (not clones), and on some old consoles whose port supplies little power, you power it through its micro-USB port. Time for your retro games on a wireless controller, with no modification to the console.

    Compatibility and uses

This adapter plugs into the controller port of a PlayStation 1 (PS1/PS One) or PlayStation 2 (PS2 fat and slim) console. On the controller side, it works over Bluetooth with: PS3, PS4, PS5, Xbox One S, Xbox Series X|S, Switch Pro and Joy-Con, Wii, 8BitDo, GameSir T4 Pro, Stadia, iPega 9076, and more. Important: only genuine PS3/PS4 controllers are supported (not clones); one adapter handles only ONE controller at a time (for two players, plan on two adapters). It needs no external power, but on an old console with a weak port, use its micro-USB port. Firmware updated via USB. Blue, black or red.
