The part is as described, smooth surface with no defects. But the quality of small plastic parts that retain other plastic pieces inside is brittle and replacing the indicator symbols the small plastic tab instantly broke off, thus indicators are not holding in place when assembled making a gap. On the first picture it is seen that it was holding on just an edge. Second picture is original part which has much more reliable tab. In addition, the symbols are not centred but are too close to the edge.

This fit my 2008 ML63 AMG perfectly. It snapped right in, and was a much-needed upgrade from the sticky OEM part.

arrived in good shape unfortunately i damaged the control switch when installing new plate. plate arrived in decent time and looks good enough to put in a mercedes.... definitely looks better than the melting plastic tho. new steering wheel buttons and light switch panel cover really changes the look for the melting mercedes models.
