In use, this valve (TRV) transforms a conventional radiator into a smart heating system. It replaces the original thermostatic head and opens or closes the hot water supply according to the desired temperature, measured by an internal sensor with half-degree precision (setpoint from 5 to 45 °C). Its screen and controls allow for local adjustment, and the weekly programming (5+2 days, up to 4 periods) reduces heating at night or when away: real savings, with auto, manual, holiday, and eco modes. Using ZigBee 3.0 (Tuya), it can be controlled via the Tuya/Smart Life app on a smartphone and by voice through Alexa and Google Assistant, with temperature monitoring and open window detection. Crucially: a Tuya ZigBee gateway (hub) is ESSENTIAL for remote and voice control — without it, the valve can only be adjusted locally. It runs on 2 AA batteries (not included) and comes with several faucet adapters (RA, RAV, RAVL, Comap, Herz…) to fit most radiators.
