In use, this cage transforms the Sony ZV-E1 into a true video rig. Made of aluminum alloy, it surrounds the case and protects it from shocks, while locking firmly via a 1/4"-20 screw underneath and a side adapter on each side (without moving or rotating). Its integrated silicone handle offers an ergonomic and comfortable grip for long handheld shots. A cable tie attaches to the left side and keeps the HDMI/USB cable in place, protecting the port from unstable transmission. The cage multiplies mounting points: 1/4"-20 threads, ARRI 3/8"-16 holes, two cold shoes (for microphone and LED lighting), hooks for top or side handle and monitor mount, as well as strap eyelets (lanyard, shoulder strap) on the sides and bottom. Under the cage, an Arca-Swiss quick-release plate allows instant switching from tripod to Arca-Swiss plate stabilizer (DJI RS, etc.). A key is provided for assembly.
