How to choose your scooter parts?

The battery is the heart of your scooter. First, respect the voltage (V) — 36, 48 or 72 V — which must be identical for the battery, the controller and the charger. The capacity (Ah) determines the range, and the configuration (e.g. 13S5P) defines the number of cells in series/parallel. A BMS with appropriate amperage (e.g. 50 A) protects the 18650 cells from overcharging. The controller must match the motor type and its power. For tires, respect the original size. Many parts are specific to the model (e.g. Xiaomi M365): always check compatibility before ordering.

Technical criteria to check

Technical criterionWhy is it important?
Voltage (V)Battery, controller and charger must share the same voltage (36/48/72 V).
Capacity (Ah)Determines the scooter's range.
Configuration & BMSE.g. 13S5P, with a BMS of appropriate amperage (e.g. 50 A) to protect the cells.
Model compatibilityMany parts are dedicated (e.g. Xiaomi M365).
Tire sizeChoose according to the original wheel.

Frequently asked questions about electric scooters

Which battery for my electric scooter?

Respect the voltage (V) of your scooter — 36, 48 or 72 V — then choose the capacity (Ah) for the range. Check the configuration (e.g. 13S5P) and a BMS with appropriate amperage to protect the cells.

What does 13S5P mean on a battery?

It is the cell configuration: 13S corresponds to 13 cells in series (which sets the voltage), 5P to 5 in parallel (which increases the capacity). More S gives more volts, more P gives more ampere-hours.

How to choose a scooter controller?

The controller must match the battery voltage and the motor type, as well as its power and amperage. Also check the connector and compatible display before replacing the original.
